Lauren is on “Friday night” (Saturday morning) 12a – 2a and “Saturday night” (Sunday Morning) 12a – 2a
Lauren May is a conduit. She has years of experience in the areas of Brand strategy, Governmental Relations, Business Development and Production. During and after college Lauren worked at ESPN and in the Hartford, Connecticut Market for Radio. Through relationships that she built, Lauren got involved in politics and worked on many political campaigns. She was tapped to work with US Senator D’Amato of NY and the after working on a successful Governor’s campaign for the State of New York. She joined the Pataki administration in the position of Director of Communications and Special Projects for the Economic Development Agency, Empire State Development under the leadership of Ambassador Charles Gargano. In that capacity, Lauren handled communications and protocol for the agency. In her role she worked on several projects, including The Revitalization of 42nd Street and Times Square, The Hudson River Park Conservancy and many other real estate projects as well as the iconic I Love New York Campaign. She also worked on many joint projects such as The Tribeca Film Festival, Fashion Week, ExportNY and the UN 50th Anniversary where she was a featured speaker across the state. Lauren served as the Senior Advisor to the Chairman on many issues including UN Relations and American-Indian Affairs. In addition to this role, she was an advisor to him for The Port Authority as Ambassador Gargano was also The Vice Chairman. She played a key role for crisis communications on a daily basis but at a heightened level after 911 and has helped individuals and companies with crisis management.
After 3 terms, Lauren started a private consulting practice, The Luxe Group. She has consulted with many Non-Profit organizations, B to B and B to C Brands, municipalities and politicians (both sides).
Lauren has worked on various productions with various clients such as-the Miss USA and Miss Universe Organization, Maysles Films with the iconic film director Al Maysles, The Hardrock Hotel and Casino, Foxwoods Casino, Hippocrates Wellness Institute, The Trump Organization, NTD Television, Mohegan Sun, WellWorld TV and many others.
Lauren May has a degree in Communications and Drama and is also a graduate of Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
She currently sits on the Advisory Board of HealthCorps, founded by Dr. Oz.
